BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY

Tenderness, confidence and trust

As a photographer, I approach boudoir photography in much the same way as any other portrait session – I look for the person behind the pose. Natural behaviour, trust, a look, an emotion. Eroticism is never the goal in itself. It can exist alongside beauty in an image, without being deliberately sought out.

What interests me is not so much how you look in front of the camera, but the moment when you stop thinking about it. That point where the image begins to reveal something personal.

WHY HAVE A BOUDOIR SESSION?

For me, the most important reason to have a boudoir session is acceptance
To see yourself and accept yourself as you are. Not as you think you are supposed to be. Not as others expect you to look. Simply as yourself. The body you live in. The face you see every day. Everything you sometimes love and sometimes struggle to accept. The little imperfections you know better than anyone else. Boudoir can be a way of looking at yourself from the outside – with more acceptance and less criticism. Of discovering beauty not as an ideal to chase, but as something that is already a part of you.
Sometimes, we need someone else to show us what we cannot see ourselves
The person beside you may have known you for years, but a photograph can reveal another side of you – more confident, more free, more intimate, or simply different from the person you are in everyday life. And sometimes, these photographs are not for anyone else at all. They are simply for you. A reminder of who you were at a particular moment in your life. Of how you felt. Of the courage it took to step outside the familiar and allow yourself to be seen as you truly are.
A boudoir session can be a small ritual of change
After a difficult period. After a breakup. After an important change in your life. After years of putting yourself second. Or simply because you want to do something different. To step away from everyday life for a few hours, put your roles and expectations aside, and do something just for yourself. Sometimes all it takes is a small challenge to discover that you are capable of more than you thought.
I am not looking for the perfect pose, and I don't want you to become someone else
I want to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, forget that it is there, and gradually begin to simply be yourself. There is no right way to do that. There is only your way. Sometimes it may be gentle or bold, sensual or completely unexpected. For me, good boudoir photography is not a photograph of a beautiful body. It is a photograph of a person who feels comfortable in her own skin. And if, years from now, you look at these photographs and think, “This is me,” then we have achieved exactly what we were looking for.
HOW A BOUDOIR SESSION WORKS

THE EXPERIENCE

BEFORE THE SESSION

Before the shoot, I’ll answer any questions or concerns you may have. We’ll discuss the choice of space or location, find a time that works for you, and talk about wardrobe, as well as whether you would like to work with a professional makeup artist or stylist.

DURING THE SESSION

During the session, I’ll guide you whenever needed, but you’ll never be left wondering what to do.

We’ll take breaks, you can listen to your favourite music, and we’ll look for the most flattering light and the right pose — without forcing anything just for the sake of getting a particular shot.

Very soon after we begin, you’ll feel the sense of ease you need to simply be yourself.During the session, I’ll guide you whenever needed, but you’ll never be left wondering what to do.

AFTER THE SESSION

After the shoot, I carefully select the strongest images. The chosen photographs are then edited with particular attention to keeping the original character of the images.

My approach to retouching is deliberately subtle — preserving the natural texture of the skin and avoiding unnecessary transformations, so that the photographs feel alive, authentic and true to you.
